PELVIC FLOOR INFORMATION ON INCONTINENCE SATURDAY, DEC. 6, 3-4 PM

Free Seniors Workshop on Pelvic Floor Health

This presentation is free of charge co-sponsored by Nelson and District Seniors Coordinating Society and Nelson Seniors Centre.  It is open to the public as a service to seniors to give information about pelvic floor health and physiotherapy at large and how it can help an aging population.

Here is a brief summary of this presentation :

As we age, it’s common to notice subtle changes in how our body supports everyday functions – perhaps feeling less control with the bladder, needing to get to the bathroom more quickly, a sense of heaviness or pressure in the lower abdomen, or more effort needed for bowel movements.

These changes are often linked to the health of the pelvic floor, a group of muscles that quietly support our core, stability, and comfort.

In this presentation, we’ll explore how pelvic floor physiotherapy can help you regain confidence, improve comfort, and restore ease in daily activities.

Through gentle, evidence-based exercises and practical strategies, you’ll learn how to better support your body, enhance control over your bladder and bowels, and maintain independence for years to come.
