FARMERS’ MARKET COUPON PROGRAM

  Nelson and District Seniors Coordinating Society is helping to distribute coupons from the BC Association of Farmers’ Market to low-income families, pregnant women and seniors. Each family participating in the program was eligible for $27 per week in market coupons.

The program is supported by the provincial government, the Provincial Health Services Association and the Columbia Basin Trust.

In 2024 we gave out 569 coupons to low-income seniors to access fresh local healthy produce directly from Farmers.
